Your camera has a tiny (CCD, etc) chip.

It's only a FujiFilm FinePix S5700, so I guess you're correct :)

Sure, this code is called Exif. Exif tells you a lot of settings, like speed, iso, f-stop, etc. If you use Firefox have a look at Exif Viewer add-on.
