Original photos I shot of an abandoned oil refinery plant in Elizabeth, NJ on a Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi with a Canon 17-85mm lens.
Here's the main refinery building where oil was treated, passing through various tanks and pipes, to turn it into a marketable product. According to online searches, products included petroleum lubricating oils for textile and mill industries, leather tanning and dye tints, motor oil and transmission fluid and it was in use roughly 1883 - 1986.
Now entering the office and laboratory buildings.
Note this site has since been torn down to make way for new developments.
