Picking Huckleberries in the Mountains of the Pacific Northwest.

Last summer I went out to the mountains with my girlfriend and her family to pick huckleberries. We camped out for a weekend on reservation land in Eastern Washington. We could see Mt. Adams as clear as daylight. It was nice to just kick back and enjoy nature... Picking berries was not easy though.... Plenty of times i found myself wondering off from the crowd and finding maryjane... Either way it was a time to remember and I can't wait to go again.

Much needed smoke break after a long day of picking.

I don't think we have huckleberries here, but in the summer we get a lot of wild black berries. When picked at the right time, they're so sweet and I can eat handfuls of them. We used to fill buckets up as kids, and our mom's would make pies and jams to be eaten. Such beautiful scenery there. Take a puff on that pipe for me. :D
