Here is Ade, a 14years old child helping out his mum fetch water in one of the oldest streets of Ibadan Nigeria🇳🇬.
A boy who walks 2 kilometers every morning in a pursuit of water. When I asked him ‘do you feel pain in doing this every morning?’ He said it’s something it’s been doing since he was 10years old so nowadays it’s just passion for him. He derives pleasure in helping out his mum since he is the only child and his father is late and not much of choice for him though but he’s fine.
Ade is in jss3 class and currently writing his junior waec examination. He is a very good student and he came out first in all his school exams.
Ade’s mornings started before the sun even rose. He would wake up early, the chill of the night still clinging to the air, and set off on his journey to fetch water. He knew how vital this task was for his mum
