Great pictures as always. I love this mushroom. As you said it is delicious. Wander if you cook it the same way. First coated in the egg then in flour and finally throw it on hot pan and fry for couple minutes on both sides. Almost same as schnitzel. It is so tasty.
I envy your 6 hour long walk in the forest. Where I live there is no forests only parks.

We bread the mushroom like a Wiener Schnitzel, but maybe we should try it once without the bread crumbs, as you do ;)
We have large forests left and right of the valleys. They are mostly steep and not easy to hike, when you don't use a path, like I did 😉
