[Photos] My First Diving Experience, the Ocean was scary until I experienced Shipwreck Diving in the Indonesian Underwater World - by chrisadventures

Being down there, at first it felt like a leap of faith to simply trust the diving gear as we were going deeper and deeper. I'm afraid of heights and the actual idea of even jumping in the ocean... imagine that the ocean beneath you is hundreds of meters deep and you don't know what's actually beneath you.... it freaked me out and made me think of this picture.

But eventually I did go diving, I loved it and I felt so relieved! It felt like flying as you're able to go up and down. And believe me, once I was out there, I didn't feel any sense of fear at all!

Here we go!

Once you go deeper, the pressure increases and that's why you need to keep putting pressure on your ears.

Diving beneath the shipwreck

On the bottom we saw all different sorts of coral reef!

We saw this moral eel too

Sea snake

After all, I'd advice anyone to go diving. It might sound dangerous or scary at first, but it's definitely worth it. I really want to get my PADI diving license now and in the future, I hope to see sharks, whale sharks and other incredible marine life. A week later, I have seen a Manta Ray and turtles when I was snorkeling. We took this picture!

Holy cow! Your pictures are fantastic! Makes me feel like I'm in the ocean too. I know what you mean about it being scary down there when you can see everything. Keep up the great work. Following you now.

To be your first diving experience you got very good images .

I guess like you're in your element , like a fish in water.

Greetings and thanks for sharing.

Yea I definitely was, once I was down there! I never expected myself to because I was quite scared before I went in. But not anymore luckily!

Thank you for sharing because this is something I probably could never do. Those photos are beautiful. The colours of marine life are so vivid and the weird and wonderful creatures create a completely alien landscape.
