One of my favorite things about the Internet is the constant inspiration from all over the world. I'm always searching different sites for stimulating images to feed my creative brain. Several years ago I came across the amazing photographer Flora Borsi. She takes beautiful photographs then manipulates them digitally. I really loved her "Subjective Freedom" images when I came across them, specifically her second one.
In the first number of years of wielding a brush, I would often use photos as a strict reference to learn how to paint. With her "Subjective Freedom II" photo I knew I would learn so much from painting it. The reflection of the glass, the texture of the fish scales, and the transition from the greens to reds in the background. Thankfully she was thrilled for me to paint it! This painting is still one of my favorites that I will hold on to forever!
The photo I painted from. As you can see, I definitely enhanced the colors for my own enjoyment in the painting.
I highly recommend visiting her website to check out more of her projects. It's likely you've at least some of her "Animeyed" images floating around the Internet!
Check her out! She's great! I certainly appreciate the inspiration. Thought you Steemians would enjoy :)
