There is nothing more beautiful than country skies, sunrises or sunsets. The hydro lines even look good. The second photo is my favorite - the sun looks like a warm hug around the house.

This is the worst cold spell in the Northeast US since about 2004. It's been below freezing almost every day since Christmas here in Central NJ.

I like how that sky goes to such a deep blue straight overhead -- a perfect pathway for radiative heat loss direct to space, lol! A cold night ahead, for sure! At least it will kill off some of the grasshoppers and aphids, so the gardeners will all be happy this next growing season! ; )

The waning light of day and the blue snow make such a contrast. It looks SO cold and lonely, and yet maybe a bit promising, that one might still get a bit of warmth. At least that's what I feel, when viewing these. Gorgeous end of day captures.
