Even during the Independence Day holiday, the beaches on Oak Island, North Carolina are often sparsely populated which provides plenty of opportunity to relax and enjoy the salt life.
And because Oak Island is South-facing, you get to see both sunrises and sunsets over the ocean!
It also has calmer waves than much of the Atlantic Ocean beaches, again due to its South-facing orientation.

Looks like the right place for a good book. Great photos - i love the seaweed on the shore one best.
Hey there my friend , this was one heck of a photo shoot. I fell in love with the second photo and could not stop looking at it. I love walks at the beach or near the water and just to look up at the sky , gives some kinda hope
wow wonderfull
ooh, I've been there, a few years ago, on a bit of a Road Trip. We did from West Virginia down to Atlanta, and went through North and South Carolina. And more importantly, it appears you found my missing flip-flops.....
Amazing pictures. Thanks for sharing.
💕
Good shoot buddy, i like it
where's oak island, I'm from the outerbanks of NC! you're the first steemer I've come across from NC
I remember going to some beach in North Carolina when I was a kid. Since I live in TN people here tended to go to NC for the beach instead of Florida. Looks like you got to see some amazing skies. Hope you had a great trip.
Great Post & Pictures!
