This was my second time skiing at Arapahoe Basin this season, and the conditions were less than desirable.
Snow accumulations have been minimal thus far this season. In fact, Colorado has had one of it's worst ski seasons on record, as snowfall has been sparse, to say the least.
This is troubling on many fronts, as Colorado's main water supply comes from snow. If the season doesn't turn around soon, we could be in for serious droughts and wildfires in the near future.
But in the present, the lack of snow is apparent everywhere you look in the mountains. Today, this fact was starkly visible while skiing the terrain at Arapahoe Basin.
We still enjoyed ourselves, and the view from the backside is worth the trip alone.
Here's hoping to a late flurry of flurries hitting the rockies this season, as we definitely need it!

That last picture! 😭😭 This is what aesthetic and mystic experiences consist of! Ma sha'allah!! Sorry for being dramatic but this is the only way I can express my awe here. Too beautiful!
Indeed, it's an incredible place to ski at, if only for the scenery!
