Sad thing that it will now be owned by Saudi Arabia and they plan to build a bridge near to or over it. Used to work in Sharm and dive Tiran every week, it is my second home and I am very worried. Hope there is a way to preserve it but i am afraid the status of nature reserve will be lifted and the bridge project will have a devastating impact on the reef system. Jackson is my favorite reef, it has everything.. the coral gardens and on the back the hammerhead sharks. And if you know your way around there is a hidden cave with 3-4 white tip reef sharks. I urge every one who has not been diving there, GO.. do it now, who knows it might stop the horrible project destroying the reef systems in the area. :)
