Photoblog - Group Shoot. Tibradden Wood, Ireland

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

I went out to Tibradden Wood, County Wicklow with a group of local creatives.

It's a beautiful forest, populated by various oaks, pines, and silver birches. We had organised, fairly last minute, to get up into the forest with a bunch of models, photographers and MUAs. The plan was that everyone would bring various inspiring items, and we would improvise to create the looks.

The local amateur photo community here in Dublin is very active. People regularly organise collaborative photoshoots via different Facebook groups for local creatives. I was thrilled to have some great models and makeup artists coming. We also had a stylist, who was invaluable on the day.

This is Raminta, a great makeup artist who doubles up as a great model. I think these first 2 were my favourite shots of the day.

We made an umbrella out of ferns. Aoife here is kinda nutty. She danced around while the photographers grabbed her antics "paparazzi style".

As a matter of tradition, we made sure to get a shot of the whole group at the end of the day. That's me, the chunky guy with the fern-umbrella. Now you understand why I'm on the dark side of the camera! I smile every time I look at this photo. If I could, I would do a group shoot every weekend. They're always amazing fun.

Sorry I don't follow.

I love in the first two how her hair color pops against the background and brings out the color of the leaves. And the one with the girl in the blue dress seems very fairy-tale-ish. Well done.

Awesome work once again. Love the colours.

Very kind of you! Thanks.

I envy those models. Great job, @condra!

Hey thanks Diana!

#2 & #4 are my favorite!
