As I live in Copenhagen, you'd might expect some shots and tips from there. Well, no worries! I am sitting on somewhat of a treasure trove which I am more than happy to share with you guys since I've had such a great response to my other posts here. I really didn't expect to get 50 followers in 3 days, so I am sending out a BIG "thank you very much!" to each and every one of them!
Because I have so many pictures and I don't want to tire you with a never ending post, I will break this Episode of my "Through The Broke Traveller's Lens" into 2-3 parts. All of the images in this part have been taken with my trusty Nikon D700. Quite a few feature night time or dusk scenes. My philosophy regarding that is that if you get up early you get the best results before sunrise. In summer here in Copenhagen you don't really need to get up at all as you get that light even as early as 3 AM. Actually some nights it doesn't really get that dark to seem like night if you do a 2-3 sec exposure. Just after sunset is also a good time.

I promised you a couple of recommendations so...
Ok, for a nice local music venue you can go to Beta2300 in Amager. I learned about it when I had to go there to take pictures of a band playing. They have loads of events on and quite cheap. Here are a couple of photos I took from that gig:

For coffee and maybe a few drinks head to Café Retro. This is one of my favorite cafes in town. Run as a non-profit organisation, they also stage events and exhibitions.
A good late-night bar that I would recommend is The Moose. Cheap and cheerful, smoking is permitted inside, has a jukebox and a Foosball table. It is open most night until 7 AM.
The more upmarket bars that I can recommend are: Bar 25 and The Bird and The Churchkey. The latter serves about 80 types of Gin to mix with something like 5 tonics (best selection in Scandinavia) and they also have about 50 kinds of beer. Another would be Fermentoren which might just have the best beers on tap in town, see if you can get some red ale with elder-flower.
If you get hungry you can try going at Morgenstedet a great vegetarian restaurant situated in the heart of Christiania, an interesting Freetown in Copenhagen of which I will write more about at a later date.
