Oslo Opera House - A music venue that is basically a giant piece of art in itself.

in #photography7 years ago

Strange but beautiful, this building is definitely worth a visit when in Oslo. Due to the design of the Oslo Opera House (or Operahuset), the public is free to walk and hang out on the roof of the structure. This is because the roof angles down to the ground and you can simply stroll up on the nice white granite and Italian Carrara marble surfaces that cover up much of the building.

The images have been taken during my last trip to Oslo, using my Nikon D700 and a Nikkor 24-85mm 3.5-4.5G ED lens. Although I bet the interior is amazing, I didn't get to see it on that occasion. Perhaps the next time I decide to head North again I might visit the inside of this venue that seems to be just a massive piece of art.

Hope you liked the post and please let me know what you think about the images. I really like feedback...

Also, I would want you to know that I would be humbled if you decided to use any of my images, however, please contact me about it first to discuss the matter. Thank you! :)

What a seriously cool building I agree it is a work of art

What beautiful photos. That is an incredible building!

Strange angles on that building. It definitely looks interesting! It would be interesting to see with early morning or late evening sunlight to exaggerate the form, too :-)
