RE: Happy Holidogs for You! Peep Some of the Pups I Photographed for Charity and Just Feel Good

in #photography7 years ago

I really think you should do it, if you feel comfortable. I lost my grandfather days before Christmas, and my heart dog... the one who changed my life and brought me into rescue and service work... was diagnosed with aggressive cancer a month before, and I had to let him go days after. This time of year reminds me of the most beloved souls in my life and how lost I am sometimes without their guidance. It's okay to be sad; it reminds us of how lucky we were to have something or someone. But I still get overwhelming periods of grief to go with the joy of the holidays. I know that lots of people do. One of the greatest gifts we can give is simply to try to understand one another. <3

I'm so sorry to hear of the compounded loss and health issues. You're right it is okay to be sad. Being thankful for what we have now is paramount to moving forward and always having an empathetic outlook towards other people is key. {{Hugs}} to you and (+) vibes sent your way. ♡♡
