RE: Gringalicious in San Diego Travel Series - Part 4 Seaport Village

Beautiful photos! That cupcake bakery--did you get one? If so, what flavor? When I used to travel before kids, I would always be looking for new food to try-almost more than sight-seeing and shopping! Now that we've got allergies to deal with, I still look for new food, the criteria has become more stringent. Luckily there are more and more health food stores with deli's and buffets that tend to cater to specific diets and that's been a huge help!

So looking forward to tomorrow. I mentioned to my daughter that you were an HP fan and beware, she might talk your ear off tomorrow. She just finished the books and movies and is busy writing her own chapter book that is loosely based on HP as well.

Sort:

I love to make, I love to look, I love to decorate, but I seldom actually eat a cupcake.

An HP, that's awesome! My brother, @trumpit, may even be a bigger fan than me. My older sister @uglysweater is also a big fan, and come to think of it, so is @alovelymess. Your daughter will be in good company. If she is writing a book, then perhaps you should consider her own acct on Steem and self publish that book.

Hmmm... no cupcakes, eh? So, what is your "treat" of choice?

Mine is a good fresh baked loaf of bread with grass-fed butter and a decaf latte.

As for my daughter, I keep telling her I will set her up, but I can barely keep up my own account! But this weekend, I think we will. The kids all want to share their creations and performances so I'm thinking of setting it up as a kids' account that they can share and each can post 3-4x/week. I'm sure we can make it a school project of sorts too!

My treat of choice is berries, especially raspberries.

the kid's acct sounds interesting, and absolutely, it would be great education. Transferring thought to keyboard is very educational. Then you should take them to another country, now that's educational.

Raspberries are delicious! Although we're pretty smitten with huckleberries now too!

As for traveling, I couldn't agree more! I went to the Azores islands as a teen and it was an amazing experience!
