Yeah you are right @rehan12 ..what is gone is gone...
But I learned a lot from my mistakes and from that time I stood far far away from other ponzi's.
That knowledge...helped me to stay away...far far away...from Bitconnect scam.
My cousin wanted to join Bitconnect and said him to stay away....
He asked me : Why? I see this company already 1 year and it is still paying.
Me: Hash Ocean was 1 year and 3 months (aprox) when it started to scam off ...Mostly all ponzis (the elaborate ones...the smaller last 1-2 months max 3) after 1 year they close shop and scam people.
I did same strategy with Genesis Mining and Hashflare and behold after 1 year both companies actually grew bigger and stronger....this is how to spot a legit company...just wait and as soon as they pass the 1 year mark show equipment and more action ...buying selling mining stuff, you can say that they are real.

And so after that talk my cousin did not invest in Bitconnect...and after just 50 days of our small talk...Bitconnect scamed many people.
In my heart I was sad for all those people....but in a way I was happy that I stayed away.
Same here I have lost my share in many scam sites did learned a lesson of my life time.
You did great about your cousin and telling him not to get involve in Bitconnect.I have gotta thanks Steemit as because I was also about to invest in Bitconnect. I was lucky I listened to many Steemians who were honest in this suggestions.
While as you are making posts of suggestions on investments you can add this criteria where you can say if the site is legit or not , just a suggestion would be perfect and another niche would be added to your profile.
