Media City
I have been living in the area known as Media City for a few months now. It's on the outskirts of Manchester, in an area known as Salford.
Tenants
The area is 200 acres, and created around the Manchester ship canal in the City of Salford. The area is full of stunning architecture, a shopping Mall, A famous theatre (The Lowry) and hosts studios for the BBC and ITV TV channels.
Oppposite the site is Old Trafford, the home of Manchster United. The Imperial War Museum is also sited here.
There is even a Helly Hansen watersports centre offering canoeing, water skiing and other watersports. The area also contains many residential developments.
Stunning Photographic Venue
If you get a chance to visit, the area is prefect for photography with numerous modern buildings which look good in the daytime, and amazing at night!!! Bring a wide angle lens and a tripod if you have one to get some perfect long exposure photographs.
Why not come and visit, please get in touch and I will be happy to show any Steemers around the area.
My photographs of Media City.
The BBC building (Quay House) along with the Media City Footbridge. The colour of the lgithys gradually changes at night time, it's stunning to see and photograph.

Thanks a lot!! Glad you liked it. Media City s a great area to photograph ( or film) , really recommended. I actually saw a guy here filming with a drone a couple of months back. I'm in the market for a drone pretty soon, so will check out your blog, might be asking for advice.
Thanks good one for the travel list :)
If you need any advice let me know, I'm happy to help!
Wow :o this looks amazing! Have you ever been to Hamburg? If you're into modern urban architecture the HafenCity (HarbourCity) is incredible aswell. Full of great modern architecture and still developing :)
I've been to Hamburg many years ago, I haven't visited Harbour City though. Thanks for the tip, I'll have to check it out sometime.
