Myself and @antonchanning decided to check out Christmas at the Botanics in Edinburgh this year. We bought our tickets for the last weekend of November. Weather turned out dry and frosty, perfect for an evening stroll.
We arrived to the botanic Gardens a bit before our scheduled start time. Xmas tree welcomed us at the gates. Guard scanned our e-ticket and soon we were strolling through a wonderland!
Trees are light up in different colours all along the trail.
Pond covered with glowing boats is the first highlight. This night the pond was frozen so the boats were not moving on the water. They till look amazing.
Further up the way you arrive at beautifully illuminated green house. Here there is a mini food truck selling mulled wine, cider and hot chocolate. We watched a light show while sipping our hot drinks before moving on.
Another attraction is this lovely tunnel made of fairy lights.
After the tunnel, the trail leads pass giant gift boxes.
As you walk you may as well look up to see all the gorgeous baubles up there.
After munching on some Churros while admiring the trees, we eventually arrived to the laser garden. I love smoke machines and the spooky atmosphere of this one.
I will share more photos from the trail in the part two.
Thanks for watching.
