November has a reputation for being really cold and dull but if you walk in nature with an attentive eye you will spot some real beauty.
I love to look at small details, like the fluffy hair on this fruit.
Stripy texture provides a lovely backdrop for large drops of water on this leaf.
From small to big, plants provide such diversity of shapes, textures and colours. These huge thistles look so spooky when dried out.
This plant, whatever it is, resembles a tulip in shape. Its head is probably mouldy and rotten but it looks so elegant
I love dark purple and sliver green combined with a spiky shape of the leaves.
November is also full of wonderful red berries and fruits.
These honeysuckle fruits look so vibrant and semi-translucent.
Rose fruits, on the other hand, are shiny and opaque.
If you can identify the plants from my photos, please leave a comment. I would love to learn more about them.
Thanks for looking. :)
Hello. Nice to hear about you for a long time. Do you still live in Scotland? The last I heard, you had plans to move.
Hi! Long time no see. Thanks for your comment.
I still live in Scotland. I'm going to wait and see what happens with Brexit and Scottish Independence. If I don't like how things turn around then I will be moving for sure.
Last I heard you and @antonchanning were planning to move to Finland. He had applied for a job in Lahti (that's where @gamer00, @omsoc, @emdivs, @eetu.leinonen and I live).
Yes, if we are going to move it will be definitely to Finland.
@antonchanning didn't get the Lahti job last year and decided to start contracting in the UK for now.
We visited Finland in October. We had short stay in Turku, Tampere and Helsinki, which was awesome. Finnish sauna and coffee are great. :)
