Do You Use Photoshop?

in #photography7 years ago

When I was living in China I often had to spend time to photoshop the photos in order to bring out the colors from the hazy smog. Here in Sweden I no longer need photoshop, because check out these photos below that are completely untouched.

How about you ? Do you usually use Photoshop or edit your photos and do you think it improves or takes away from the final result ?

I think it could be both beautiful with or without post editing. I personally appreciate a pic with no retouching, it can enphatize the author's technique and "hand". But is some cases photoshop can really make a pic stand out or better express what the photographer wanted to. I think it's just another instrument outside the camera and it's good to use it as long as it's what an author really wanted (not just because it's cool). I like your authentic pics though :)

Thanks a lot for your comment and I am on the same page as you completely! How hot has it gotten in Switzerland by now ?

We're having a kind of hot spring, they talk about a +3/4 celsius than usual. It touched even 25/30 but some cloudy and rainy day are about 10/15 so a lot of people (me too...) are getting a bit sick. How's up there?

It's much warmer than normal that's for sure - yesterday was 26 degrees even hotter than in Italy, so this is completely unnormal. Today it's raining though so I think the temperature has dropped quite a bit, so it's a bit tricky ! Make sure to drink a lot of hot water and hope you feel better soon !

Yeah, I think in colder places you can feel a bit more the effect of global warming... It may be part of cycles but in the last years things are a bit crazy... Thanks I'll do it! ;D

I normally use Gimp to improve some small things like contrast or saturation but I also shot in RAW.

Gimp is definitely an awesome program and if you don't need to use the program for professional work I think it works just as fine as Photoshop

Just amazing. No Photoshop needed @dandesign86

Woah! Great colors and beauty you got there. Beautiful photography

Nowadays Lightroom can do most of what photographers need. Photoshop is good for editing in layers and for heavy manipulation.

All that being said - there's no perfect exposure straight out of the camera - so images always need to be tweaked - even if by a little bit.

Lightroom is pretty awesome I must admit - very fast, and it's also good to organize your photos in this program

LR is worth if for the organization factor alone. Can still use a lot of speed enhancements - especially compared to Capture 1.

Can do most of the simple tweaks

Very beautiful, Smog Free Photo...

Thank you :) I have been longing for this for so long :)
