HDR Photography - Why Do I Love Green?

Living in a big city sometimes produces lots of stress in my body, I feel it. I'm in a constant hurry when I'm not even in need to be in a real hurry, it's just the way people act on a daily basis. All the grayish colors of buildings, the street and the sidewalks make me feel pressured.

I need to see some green everyday to feel better, trees, nature, parks, even a small amount of water like you can see in the picture.

Do you feel like this too or am I the only one living in a big city and wishing to be on a large field, river or park instead of surrounded by huge buildings, offices and streets?

You are definitely not alone. As a resident of a concrete jungle I can relate. I grew up in the back woods of New York where it was weird if you didn't own 20+ acres of land, so the change was a huge shock. Seeing green parks, grassy lawns, etc. is a beautiful and comforting reminder of home. As for the anxiety part; I grew up in a small town and social interaction was extremely valuable to me as youngin. There would be days when I wouldn't see anyone and it would literally eat me alive. It's very comforting to be surrounded by thousands of humans... even if it means saying goodbye to the beautiful green valley I used to call home.

I'd also like to add that your photo is beautiful! Did you take/edit it yourself? Kudos to you! I'm on the beginning of a long journey to mastering photography/adobe.

I hope you get to experience a little bit of green nature each day :) Thanks for sharing your story with all of us. It really makes me appreciate where I grew up/visit every now and then.

Cheers!

Thanks! It's truly inspiring to see you have found value and good things about living in the city and you are right, being surrounded by people is not that bad, it's good to socialize, interact and find the little good things that make up your everyday.

Thank you for your kind comment about the photo, I like photography very much, I wish I could do more trips to other cities to get better looking pictures and have fun later editing!!

Cheers my friend!
