Around the Canadian Rockies in B&W and Colour

in #photography7 years ago

Here are a couple more shots from Grotto Canyon, located 10 min east of Canmore, Alberta, and just outside Banff National Park. You don’t need to actually enter the park in order to soak in the beauty of the Canadian Rockies! These photos were captured a few years ago, and after looking at them now, I am really looking forward to going back again this summer!

~ a Sony A77 and DT 16-105mm lens was used. ~

I really appreciate all of your pictures in both color and black & white. The cut in the mountain in that bottom picture is quite incredible! I would guess just water over the years flowing down it?!

Honestly I don’t know. Good question!

Nature is such a beautiful thing!

Please visit my post for support my account. ThanksHello @daveks.... Nice to meet you.

Beautiful piece of land. Great shots. Reminds me of the Czech Switzerland National Park in my homeland, the Czech Republic. (the name of the NP is a bit confusing, I know :D).

I’ll have to check it out!

Woah, k so that black and white is boss! Trip on my eyes with my glasses off, I had to go get my glasses make sure I was seeing it correctly. Some parts of the trees almost blend right into the rock face.

Yes, the nature of it does look amazing!

Love the black and white conversion on that first one. Dang, so dramatic.

That's really nice. I have probably driven near that area a dozen times and didn't know it existed. I may have to check it out next time I go that way.
