The Angel Glacier in Jasper National Park was named because of its resemblance to an Angel! It is slowly starting to melt now, but still makes for some decent photo ops. The Glacier flows down the side of Mount Edith Cavell.
We hiked part way up the Cavell meadows trail for a closer view of the Glacier and lake! It was a windy and overcast day, nonetheless, it was still worth it. The weather is very changeable in the Rockies so it's usually best just to GO FOR IT, rather then waiting for ideal weather, just dress appropriately in layers!
