This post is a collection of some of my favourite photos I've taken in Cuba and accompanies my longer form travel blog post on Cuba from a few weeks back.

In 2015 my girlfriend and I quit work, packed our bags and travelled for over a year. I'll be posting much more content, both as long form blog posts and short photo only posts, covering our adventures in Central and South America.

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that I've just published my next travel blog post. I'll do a dedicated photo one to accompany it when I get a chance but this one also has plenty of photos from Nicaragua!

Awesome photos, I love the old cars in Cuba. The architecture looks amazing too! I’d love to visit someday

The buildings were great! They kept encouraging us to look at and take photos of the beautiful new restored buildings but we were far more interested in capturing the crumbling old ones.

Holy God. These photos are excellent.

I've heard billboards (ahem advertising) is banned in Cuba? Is this noticeable not to have billboards and ads everywhere? Or did I heard wrong.

Thanks.

The Red Car is my favorite photo by far. Perfect angle, and the red is perfectly vivid.

Hi, thanks!

I go into a bit more detail on that in my longer Cuba post, yep you are right. It is definitely noticeable and strange to not have advertising, or big Coca-Cola and McDonalds billboards everywhere. However in a way it is kind of refreshing to be away from all that, and combined with lack of Internet and western TV it really was a big difference.

I've heard visiting Cuba described as stepping out of a time machine and I would 100% agree.

Man, it feels strange seeing all these old Russian cars still being used. Great photos, I must say! 👌

Haha it really does. Obviously some embrace the nicer looking ones for tourism purposes but the rest of the population are also still keeping these daily driver ones alive with whatever parts they can find. We caught taxis that were just a shell of their former self with no original internal parts.
