Gainesville, Florida, USA
Welcome to my adventure part 1. I will be posting several posts over the next few days that feature a beautiful 62 acre botanical garden. There were several different parts of the place and I did walk the entire 62 acres. Only a few flowers were in bloom tho at this time of year so we will revisit in the spring / summer when things are really blooming.
Today I am going to take you to the Bamboo Garden. It is more like a "Bamboo Forest". This place offers a tranquil spot to reflect on life. So follow me as we start our journey!
This isn't in the Bamboo Garden itself but it is along the way to it. There is irony here. It say's not to carve into the bamboo, yet people have carved into the bamboo.
After walking past the herb garden we finally make it to the entrance. To be honest I have no clue what this sign says!
I like the fact they painted this bridge red like this. It gives it just a bit of a pop to a surreal green scene. Do you like it?
As we walt the pathway you will notice there is bamboo everywhere! It topples over eachother and making a cover over head. I really like when trees or plants do this.
Up the path a bit if we look to our right there is this log and a Buddah statue on it. I am not too sure I really like the placement of this. It does seem to throw the feng shui off a bit to be honest.
Continuing to walk a few more feet and still looking to the right there is a small area with a bench and another Buddah. This seems to be place correctly. There is a sign not featured here that says stay on path. I am going to assume they don't want you to sit behind the Buddah.
This is the bamboo selection behind the Buddah statue in the previous photo. You can see it is growing everywhere!
Continuing to walk to the exit, looking to our left we see this! Another statue. I do like the placement of this one!
And Finally
We have made it through the Bamboo Garden. I wonder what direction we will go next! Follow me so you can see where our next garden adventure takes us!
All photos were taken by me on my Nikon D3400. They were all filtered with an HDR effect.
Thanks for Viewing... Have a GREAT SATURDAY EVERYONE!

Want to have your post on the map too?
Wonderful photos, it's really funny that so many people have left carvings in the bamboo - next to the sign telling them not to! The red bridge is quite special - although the path past it looks quite enclosed with all those bamboo canes overhanging it. Maybe the little Buddha is praying for the fallen tree. I would head to the Vinery next - it sounds interesting. Super journey and it looks like you had nice weather for the day out.

who knows maybe the vinery is next or maybe something else.. have to keep paying attention to see where we go! LOL...
our journey towards bamboo garden start with you :)
:)
Enjoyed the refreshing walk through the bamboo forest. The images made it quite real and you're right about the bamboo that gives a "sway" effect. That's cool, pun intended!
The last Buddha image, is statue tiny or have you taken it from a distance?
It is semi tiny... i was about 10 feet away and i had used the 55 zoom option on my lense
I always think of bamboo and tranquility as a compound word, no?:)
This was such a beautiful way to spend the day! I did have to give a laugh at the defiance of writing their names on the bamboo right aside of the sign! Or perhaps the sign was put up when the writing started? One can hope, right?
I like the canopy that makes it you enclosed in your own little world. Sigh
I'll follow to the next garden adventure! It is a wonderful day in the neighborhood! Happy Saturday!
Tip! Worthy!
Thank you denise!! It was a really secluded place!!!

Part 2 coming out soon!!!!!!

You are welcomem. Thanks for taking the adventure with me.
Easily my favorite part of the botanical gardens there! Haha, shhh...my name is on the bamboo!
Shhh i wont tell anyone
Bamboo forests are great.
Love the 'tags'. Especially the 'imkindaweird' one. You're just you :P
I love Kanapaha Gardens the varieties of bamboo are so different. Yet until one sees them next to one another it would not be very obvious. I am just south of Gainesville and glad to find more steemians in the area. You could have entered this in the #walkwithme series. Great post. ππ
