DEK Photography: Sparrowraptors

in #photography7 years ago

Sparrows, especially in groups, have always reminded me of the velociraptors we see in movies. They are certainly just as smart...

...at least in obtaining some chips from tourists. They flock around them and expect food - or else!

Here we see three sparrowraptors getting ready to attack some German tourists. One is a distraction, looking all cute while eating, the other two try to get their wallets, and once done, the first one goes from "cute" to "poke-their-eyes" mode in less than a second.

You were gone from Steemit for a while? Nice to see you back @dek, I always love your photography!

Hey! How are you? I see you're getting up the ranks :)

Yep, I've been away for half an year, but I'm posting now that I have the time - hopefully I will be able to continue posting photos :)

I'm pleasantly surprised you remember me, thank you!

Ah @dek I couldn't forget because you were the one who reminded me of Robert Doisneau with your photography style! I see your shots are wonderful as ever and it's good to see you back here!

Well, not so carefully selected as before, and I do agree some are of mediocre quality, but still taken through my perspective, which I hope you will enjoy :)

I've recently bought a macro lens - I suppose you're not into bugs and flowers, though? :D

I am indeed! Bugs, flowers, anything as long as I see it through the artist's eye and it's not just another samey 'catalogue' photo! So get macro-ing and we'll find out if I like what you see...! ;-)

hahaha cute sneaky attackers :D

With tiny Euro in their pockets :D

I really love sparrows. Some people may think they are commonplace but when I see some of them I love to observe them and see how they hop on their little feet, going here and there with their cute little beak :D <3

Ha! It's actually quite fun to follow them for a bit - they have very distinct faces and over time you can see differences in behavior. Certainly not surprising, but interesting :)

That sparrow in photo number two does look like he's ready to do some serious damage to some touri. Scary, even weighing in at 3 ounces.

Ferocious lightweight bully :D
