Street food in Vietnam, in my opinion, IS the best in the world.
The choices you have are endless. I sometimes wonder how these businesses survive, but when you taste the food, you soon realise why they are all so busy.
You will find the street vendors serving food all day long, up until midnight or in some cases they are open 24hours.
I took this shot a while ago in District 1 of Saigon, Vietnam. I was sitting drinking a smoothie and just loved the lighting and atmosphere around this street vendor. It just screamed out VIETNAM FOOD to me.
Keep it real

Love the street food in SEA, but yes as @lam.la01998 and you said it can be tricky sometimes. I had food poisoning in Siem Reap (Cambodia) during my 2nd visit and luckily it was my last night there otherwise the rest of the trip would have been ruined. I flew back to Bangkok the next day and ended up checking into an expensive hospital...thank god for my travel insurance. I thought my stomach could handle anything and everything, how wrong was I. I ate very basic meals upon my 3rd visit to Siem Reap as you can imagine why.
Still need to visit Saigon, but loved the north part of Vietnam - Hanoi and Sapa.
Ah the only place in Vietnam i've not been is Sapa. I need to go!!! Saigon has a nice mix of tradition and western influence so makes for a nice place to call home. If you come let me know, i'll try give you some pointers ;) Followed you, look forward to your posts and travels :)
I like your shared moments in Vietnam. I hope can travel many places like you used to..
Thanks @magicstone1412 Where do you live in Vietnam?
I live in HCMC D9. Maybe we can drink coffee some day. :)
Brilliant! Sounds good! we can chat on Discord and make arrangements.
Good post, Vietnam is beautiful.
It is indeed :)
As an Australian born Vietnamese person, I can say that I'm thoroughly impressed your stomach was able to handle the food over there. The last time I went with some friends they spent 3/4 of the day fighting over the toilet lol
For some reason my stomach can handle the food here, very rarely do I get stomach sickness. I've travelled to Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, Malaysia, Laos and Nepal and horribly sick eating the street food, especially in Nepal and Thailand.
LOL
I’ve always wanted to go to Saigon! I’ve never been. This year I’ll make it a goal to travel outside the country! Pretty cool post!
Sounds like a plan @manifestmovement I'm sure you'll love Vietnam!
Can you do a post about the culture here versus the culture where you are from? And how its played an impact in how you got acclimated to the environment!?
What a great idea @manifestmovement I'll put that in my ideas folder :) Thanks
