RE: Quick Portrait Retouching in Lightroom : Tutorial

in #photography8 years ago

Hi @thecryptofiend, just wanted to say great article and thanks for the comment on my best photos on Steemit post the other day. I'm really conscious of the plagiarism issues on Steemit lately and I don't want to step on any toes. I actually asked @patrice in the steemit abuse chat about those posts and she said the exact same thing as you, so I have been making a point to ask permission now before I post my best of's. Thanks so much for the thumbs up and for letting me know to be cautious and ask permission, I really appreciate it!

Thanks for commenting. I think it is more of a problem for professional photographers but personally I don't mind so feel free to use mine - the more people that get to see them the better.
You have a good eye for curation and that should be appreciated too. I think if you get known for doing this then even pros will be happy to let you feature their photos - same way that photography magazines do but yes it is best to ask permission first. Even magazines ask for people to sign a waver to indicate that they have permission. I don't think you need to go that far but it is always nice to ask.

Yeah I hear ya. I'm glad you like my collections, I really do love photography and I really do want to help make this place an awesome thing for photographers, plus if I can help some other artists along the way then that's great :) Loving these articles by the way!

Thanks. Glad you like them.
