From West to East: Rosengarten/Schlern (1/4), Prolongia (2/4), Sextener Dolomites (3/4 & 4/4). Shaken by the tremendous views and unbelievable size of the mountains. Locked in animal mode. Loose thoughts. 160 km, 17500 hm, 10 days, 2018.

This was a nice long tour through beautiful mountains @digitaldetox :)
Indeed! The pics above are just showing 1/4 of the route, but more to come. It brought me to my physical and mental limits, because I kind of challenged myself. The books say you can do this trip in 14 days, but if you're fast, you'll use 12 days. I planned for 10 days, and actually come through in 8 days, which gave me the chance to climb some more tops in the last 2 days. Afterwards a doctor friend gave me the hint that this could have just been "how many?" marathon equivalents...
Wow, thanks for this reply. A 14-day-tour in 8 days, that's not bad, not bad ... when I was young I used to run in the mountains, but I have become older and lazy, so lazy so that I could do a 8-day-tour in 14 days ... maybe ;)
Some would say, spending 14 days in the mountains is better than 8 days. ;-)
That's true for sure - as child I have spent my summer-holidays in the mountains on the photos on my blog, and I loved it. I still love it, but I don't have so much time and my children do not like it that much, so the mountain has to wait for me to come sooner or later ;)
