I had also donedone same with discord. I have left most of them that I felt weren't adding value to me, as of now I intend to have 4 discords to the max. Building relationships that Will help me grow is my short term & long term goal for nownow.
That is the learning curve and natural progression in steemit. And I realized it soon enough that I must stay focus to value-add in discord group.
For some of the high-end group like promo-mentor, whaleshare which focus on curation advice, I will stay on to particpate with really quality content.
These two channels are very important for me to evaluate my capability
As for some community nature of Discord, I will stay as long as I can value-add on both ends as I also need to build up my strength ( in SP ) in order to contribute with impact.
Most newbie who joined discord servers wanted help in term of getting income. Most are not aware that some fundamentals needed to be there.
I do write about some tutorial to build these fundamentals and take active role in certain discord to provide online tutorial about these fundamentals.
Anway , these are some of the things I can contribute at my current stage of knowlege. I will add-on as I picked up mre knowldege myself.
