Adelaide is capital of South Australia, aussies call it called "City of Churches". Named in honour of Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen, queen consort to King William IV, the city was founded in 1836 as the planned capital for a freely-settled British province in Australia.
Most people take photos on ground level but I decided to take two unusual ones, from above, to be precise from top of the parking building.
Rundle mall has two recognisable sculptures which attract many tourists, Malls Balls and Pig sculptures, so here they are...
This beautiful city has 28 kilometres of sandy beaches with many jetties...
Hi @dijana969 :) Great to see a fellow Aussie here. I am afraid I have never visited Adelaide despite having been born and raised in Sydney. I do hope to visit one day though.
Great photos - i would also love to see them in colour (the water looks amazing!) I have upvoted and started following - I look forward to your future posts. I have shared some photos of Sydney and others from my travels as well - please check them out and if you enjoy them please hit follow to keep updated.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you dear! I will check your work for sure!
So just now I noticed mistake in first sentence, grrrrr, seriously I'm not myself lately...
Easy to edit if you make mistakes or wish to change anything, as long as it's within 7 days of posting. So still time Diane.
Wow... Amazing Photos... @dijana969
Thank you kindly!
Welcome... @dijana969
Have been to Adelaide but a long time ago Diane. Lovely to see glimpses of this lovely city through your lense. Love the images taken of the city from the parking space on high ~ GREAT in b&w. And the vastness of the ocean in the last and third last.
