About two days or so ago, we had a violent and fast moving storm pass over us. I took my rig out and tried to get good lightning shots, but it appeared that the storm had ideas of its own. the lightning was on the trailing edge, behind a strange wall of cloud that thickened as the storm got closer. I was reluctant to post these, but what the hey. It at least shows how the clouds appear to glow in the timed exposures.
You can just see the formation of the cloud that begins blocking the lightning here. It will continue to grow over the next few frames.
At this point, I resigned to the fact that there would be no good shots tonight, at least from this viewing point. I started to notice activity off to the north so I aimed my rig that direction.
This was all I got...
This proves that even when the storms are out pounding, the fishing can still be crap, but there will be other storms at other times. I am patient.
