If you have a chance to visit the southwestern region of the United States, and want to see one of the most geologically diverse places on the planet, then Death Valley is a must. Fewer tourists than the Grand Canyon.
Located in Eastern California, Death Valley is one of the hottest areas on the planet. In July 1913, the temperature reached 134degF (56.7degC).
