I'm trying to catch up with everyone now that I am 'sort of' settling into a 'sort of' routine here. House: check, Bus pass: check, Some furniture: check...now to organize my time between working and also playing tourist with my friends.
I Must say I am happy to see the cold and snow at yours and happily not here in Southern England. The locals think I'm a bit off when I exclaim how I love the weather here in the Winter, but I tell them, live in New England for a winter and you'd be getting your swimming costume on as well and 'sunning yourself' (well not quite that bad, but close)
I'm happy to see your chickens. I think we've only one rogue rooster left at Toad Hall (wouldnt' be caught and given to farm as winston doesn't like to care for them when I am overseas) At last report from Toad Hall, he was still about, sleeping in trees and looking for food in the drive.
Oh I thought of you when we took our house, as you love the idea of houses with names. You will be happy to know that my English house came with a name: Willowbrook and it even has a little plaque announcing it as such. There is indeed a Large willow in the garden and a little bridge over a brook, so that one was probably a no-brainer to name.
Hope you are getting ready for the Christmas season.
