YesterdaySaturday 17th there were Chinese New Year Celebrations in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Since we celebrate Carnival in February, and the Chinese community is still not so big over here, they decided to do a combined celebration, mixing some of the oriental culture with our classic Carnival parades. The result? A really interesting event, kind of an hybrid I would say, that was really fun to assist.
The images speak for themselves so... I really hope you like them, thanks so much for reading and for your support!

Very cool. Do people who attend dress up too, or just those who are in the actual celebration/parade?
Just the ones in the parade. The ones assisting were in everyday clothes.

Que increible! No tenia idea que se celebraba aca!
excelentes tomas, se ve la alegría de todos!
Carnivals bring people together. All over the world. I captured many happy moments during Carnivals in the Virgin Islands. Your pics are beautiful too. Interesting combination of Chinese New Year and traditional Carnival, that's what I get from the pictures. Nice!
