I love Prague, but, honestly, it is Old Towne that draws me in. When I lived within a few hours of there, it was a nice escape, and once the rebuilding was complete, it was not even the same place.
Oh, how I wish I had been taking pictures back then. I was way too young.
i was in time to take a lot of old Jaffa here in Israel before the rebuilding period. i have to find all these old images i took therehey @dswigle ! you're so right - every rebuilding and renewing destroying as well like earthquake. i love the natural old places and find them like some touristic "Disney land" after rebuilding to the trap for a tourists. i love Barcelona in some of districts of this city - they know to safe much better.
