The beauty of the Carpathians for centuries served as scenery for fascinating legends and, naturally, every visitor of Western Ukraine wants to see them with their own eyes. Perhaps the most complete picture of the local nature can be obtained by visiting the Carpathian National Nature Park. After all, on its territory - and harsh mountains (among which the highest point of Ukraine is Hoverla), and clean glacial lakes, and spacious green valleys, and noisy rivers with waterfalls. In general, unique places that will necessarily impress.
Specialists of the park developed 48 zoological, botanical and geographical routes, by which you can enjoy not only the picturesque natural scenery, but also to see unique examples of wooden architecture - 9 churches of 16-20 centuries are preserved in the park.
And yet the Carpathian National Park is first of all nature. On the slopes covered with forests and meadows, there is a huge number of endemics and plants listed in the Red Book: Geyfel saffron, Alpine billet, mountain arnica, eastern rhododendron. The fauna of the reserve is also rich: squirrels, brown bears, wolves, hares, foxes, martens and others. And if you're lucky, you can meet a deer, lynx or even a bison. Another source of the protected area is the springs with medicinal mineral water. Thanks to them, rest in Yaremche, Vorokhta and other towns within the boundaries of the reserve became popular among those wishing to improve their health at the expense of priceless gifts of Carpathian nature.
