How to fake marriage, paternity and death with one photo(true story)

in #photography7 years ago

I'm not going to intrigue you farther than the title, here's the story:
One tv-series is shooting on Bali for asian market. According to scenario, main heroine is a child of caucasian father and indonesian mother, who both died in an accident. And in some scenes there should be a wedding photo of the parents on the wall at heroine's home. I was hired to pose as a father, a person who nowadays is dead, got married and had a daughter. And it should be a traditional balinese wedding, by the way.
According to tradition (fully respect tradition, but can't stop laughing), fiance has a
fancy makeup and the Ancient ritual dagger (+2 to dexterity ,+20 to charisma):

Photos were taken by cellphone, I don't have a right to tell more details, but the casting-director promised to send me a link to episode later.
He constantly shouted "don't smile you both! be cold, more dramatic!"

But is it possible to stop smiling, when it's your first marriage?

Preparation process:
So many layers! I feel myself an onion (+35 Celsius, a boiled onion):

Makeup artists' magic:

Happy spouses. Bride's crown weights ~5 kilo (~11lbs), and fully integrated with hair thus it can't be taken off until the end (it was +35 Celsies, and we spent 5 hours for transportation and shooting):

Now you know, what to expect, if you're going to get married on Bali.

Although this is taken using the phone, but it looks good. Is a professional taking a photo?

Thanks, it was my xiaomi mi5, but I spent some time to process it in lightroom.
I can't share professional photos were taken during photoshooting - it's a property of tv-series since I was paid for the job )

"crown weights ~5 kilos" crazy people! 😱 But looks luxuriously though 😁

Nice pictures, following you now.
