It's amazing how nature works in some cases. Usually leaves and new branches are developing first, then the flowers but in this case it's a little bit different.
Today I'm going to show you my lovely Japanese quince. This is the first one to flower in our garden.
As you can see, it's full of tiny little flower buds preparing to open. This plant has a red flower.
So as I was saying, nature has its own mysterious ways because the Japanese quince has a lot of buds but no leaves yet or just one or two on each branch.
This is why the bush looks red when it's flowering and not green as the other flower bushes.
It's pretty resistant to cold and it's spreading fast.
Last year I had to cut half of it because it was blocking the way and it looks like this year I have to cut it again but only after the following period is over.
This buds still need a few days to open and I'm afraid I won't be here when they open.
But don't worry, I can find some at home I guess.
