Back in business after a weekend watching the Neste Rally Finland, some partying, and maybe a not so creative hungover day. Now I'm back in work, both in my day job and this creative outlet I do mostly at night time. I've been pretty anxious for I haven't been able to create anything for almost a week.
I take new pictures of myself about four times a week now, and every time I do a post, I end up with a lot of pictures I don't use. Of course there are down right fails (which I might share in my Reality Check -series), and a lot of them, but then there are pictures I like but somehow don't end up in the final post. It might be because of some little technical issue, accidental interesting shot while adjusting the lighting but not having anything else ready, or that the overall mood doesn't suit the post. I'd like to share some of those leftover pictures with you and tell some backstories about them and maybe why they didn't get posted before.
Let's start with my first real post with some Old Hollywood vibes. I like this picture because I'm not really posing, just having a drink in the middle of shots. I was going out after taking these pictures and I wanted to get a little buzzed before heading out to face the cold December in my 5inch heels.
Captured in the middle of movement. I think I left this one out because I already had quite a few pictures in this post.
I'm not sure why I like this picture, my expression is a little snarky and my face is blown out, but there is just something about it that made it stand out from the other pictures. I remember trying to adjust the curves in Photoshop but it just made everything look wrong so I left it out.
This is one of those pictures that I probably just forgot to put up in the original post. I hope you enjoy it now!
On this set I was on a roll and got a lot of pictures that I could have posted but it would have looked stupid to post them all because they are very similar to each other. Do you like the little booty that sneaked in to the picture?
I really enjoy these in the middle of a movement kind of pictures, less posing, more realness. This one I left out because I didn't like my babyhairs sticking out in that angle, how stupid is that!? I could have photoshopped them away if I really wanted to but I'm lazy, doesn't that go well with the title Hedonistic Tendencies.
I'm trying this new thing of not over-analyzing every inch of myself and the pictures I take. I often find that images are more beautiful and interesting when they are not over processed and meticulously arranged. Some hairs out of place, little hints of the life I live in the corner of a picture, maybe some trash left in the floor.
PS. Did I get your mind off of Bitcoin even for a moment?
I really like that these photos are very raw and natural. And I like how you're trying not to over-analyze them, and to see the positive in those natural accidents that occur in all photos. It makes them very real and more true to life. I have a tendency to over-analyze myself, and to strive for perfection. But this is a very nice reminder that perfection is unobtainable. And the unique, accidental, and diverse qualities in life are what make things beautiful.
Thank you so very much :) I hope I can inspire someone to relax a little and give oneself a break.
1 & 2 great pics! You're stunning..cheers!!!
Thank you! :)
I really like this photos. Sometimes this type of photo is much more colorful than ordinary.
Good one!
I love the third one! So candid and genuine. Everything about it seems to tell a story.
And always extra points for smoking!
Haha, it's oddly my favourite too. Can I get a sticker instead of extra points?
I like all of them!
Hello :) Your photos are really sensual...maybe because you are :) I like black & white style. I see great talent here.
Thank you so much :)
great post
Glad you had a great weekend, we all missed you! Love this group of pics!
Aww, thanks! I'm back now and intent to post regularly again :)
Hey there! Your photography is very inspiring. And your DIY attitude is remarkable! My favorit is the last one. Can't wait to share my first portraits in here. Have a nice day! :)
Thank you so much :) Haha yeah i'm MacGyver!
I like leftovers, so go for it. I also did notice booty, and of course I looked away. Okay, maybe not. As for Bitcoin, I couldn't care less about that. Not here to make a fortune, just here for fun and conversation.
It's so small nobody even commented that this should be tagged nsfw!
It's not that small, dear. It looks like an apple that needs to be aggressively bitten into, in the most innocent way possible, of course.
Whats bitcoin again.. sorry distracted by your black & white shots. especially the first picture.. inception came to mind. if you've seen the film Eve ?
Hmm, I have but I don't remember much about it so I can't see how that picture reminds you of the movie :D
it's how i saw marion cotillard in the film. theres a similar resemblance in your appearance. :)![](https://images.hive.blog/0x0/https://68.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lyoxodmxca1qhx74io1_500.gif)
closest i could find image wise.. similar to this
I really like the idea behind/ the theme of this post. It made me think of what they call "kill your darlings" in movies. These shots that took you ages to pull off, but you can't use them because they don't seem to fit into the final movie.
I have often thought of making a movie of my 'killed darlings' but I never did. Your post actually makes me think of doing that. If so, I would love to show you the result.
And, before I forget: All these pictures are pretty (interesting) too. They all tell their own little story. One of the things I love about photography. Let's call it the 'still' life ;)
I had to google that because the saying was all new to me, pretty interesting and inspiring. I really hope you do that movie, it would be really interesting!
Thank you very much :)
you are pretty, interesting and inspiring ;)
you're welcome!
You did get everyone's minds off of Bitcoin I guess! I And these leftovers have the vibe of a stolen beauty that hit us.
We actually decided to include the last picture in the Steemit Gallery of Art, for how seductive it is, without being explicit. Find out more about the SGoA here, leave your feedback and support us!
I just made a post using your image, of course with the proper reference. Have a look at it and let me know if you'd prefer to change something or you wish me to delete it. Thank you and keep up the good work.
At the #SGoA, you may be rewarded!
Hmm, while I appreciate the praise, using my picture in the hopes of making some money for yourself is not okay. Please remove the post. There is a resteem button here for a reason.
Ok no problem, consider your post deleted :) Let me just clarify my intention: my hopes are to create an Art Gallery on Steemit and I was actually interested only in the last picture rather than the whole post. If I make more money for myself
it means you would make more money for yourself since on my post there is a reference and a link to your original post.
My goal is not to steal other people's content to make money, but to create a space where to promote the artists and reward them according to what the community likes the most ;) good luck with your work!
Love the candid approach more apparent in your recent feeds. Truthful seen the previous post and didn't bother following, too much of this on Steemit as is, but the recent work is definitely a step up and unique. Followed.
Natural always works, I love the honesty of it :)
All of them are great but loved the 1st and 4th Picture
