I had something different planned as my first post of the day, but after Dtube was being a bitch again and refused to work, I gave up and went to take a nap. I think I fell asleep just before 2am, and woke up at 6am without the alarm, I needed a nap in my day. When I nap, it's not a 15 minute power nap, but two hours. I didn't even get a nap hangover because I was so active in the morning, and there is still plenty of daylight left. I'm waiting for that sweet afternoon light and I will try to pull myself together before that for some self portraits. You'll be the first ones to know if I succeeded.
After a lot of rambling, let's get to talking about these picture. As the title says, I was already out before the sun was up, because the weather was clear and I thought I might get a few good shots just as the sun rises. I took with me the new Fujifilm x100F because I want to get on good terms with it before I take it to any trips further away from home. It's very intuitive to use so it's actually very easy. I enjoy using it.
Often when the sky is clear during sunrise, the colours are not that amazing, especially if you look at towards the rising sun. In my opinion, then the interesting things happen opposite to the sun, where it starts to reveal the scene and paint it yellow and orange.
These seem to be the last days when there are still leaves on the trees, they have been falling really fast. I'm trying to make the most of it before they are bare and dead looking until a glittering snow covers them, which won't be in months I think.
Show with the Fujifilm x100F.

I love a good early morning ramble. I always say that morning people have the best kept secret in the sunrise and the sounds of early dawn.
I am not a napper, but @winstonalden is. He functions best with a planned nap and I think that includes, now working in the city, the ride home on the train in the evening.
I am a 'go to bed black out sleep 6-7 hours pop back up' sort of sleeper, so odd random hours don't happen to me naturally, but when I have had them, it often makes me feel as if I am walking in a waking dream. Not my choice way of being, I might add.
I really love the light this time of the year, early/mid Autumn. Summer has not quite given up the ghost but her sister Autumn is more seductive and has 'bedroom' eyes so it seems the world has it's eyes heavily lidded with long shadows.
I'm not naturally a morning person, or I wasn't before, but I think I might be getting there! I know a lot of people have a hard time with naps, but I'm like a baby, I need to take one if I get up super early, because I also want to be aware in the evening.
Phurrr, I wish it was still a bit warm, but today it really felt like winter is coming. The morning was so damn cold, the temperature briefly dropped to sub zero before the sun rose. But I do agree with the light and colours, which are mainly the reason why I get up early and go to the cold air.
I like seeing my childhood hood :)
Any secret spots you could recommend to me for photographic purposes? 😛
I only lived there for 5 years and moved out when I was 8. I wasn't much of a photographer back then. And also I only flew around the same place as you so I don't know other places to recommend :/
I think I remember that one video where you flew over the bridge on Alba!
I guess I'll have to find the hidden spots myself :)
so nice 👌👌
