Not sure. Too much water I think. I had a bigger pot with a few plants potted together. In summer they were looking all lovely. But in winter I am guessing they were catching too much rain and the soil was too wet. The leaves started to yellow and almost all fell off. I put it separately in a smaller pot and I control the water now. Hope it will recover.

There are some South African succulents that grow in winter and can be watered but many of them do not like being cold and wet. This one is a summer grower and only ants water then. I'm glad you took action, it likes quite a bit of water, so don't be scared to water it in summer
