That's the thing sometimes. We add up unnecessary ingredients sometimes that the 'how-it-should-really-taste' gets forgotten. The looks very appealing @gringalicious. Your recipe reminds me of our dish here in the Philippines, the 'valenciana'. They are different as 'valenciana' is made up of sticky rice with turmeric powder, green peas, raisins and either chicken or seafood or pork but I can't help but crave for it now.
