Howdy,
Today's storms were pretty intense, with some tornado warnings and no lack of ground-to-sky lightning strikes. Just before sunset, the clouds broke apart. When this happens, the sky is usually particularly beautiful.

I generally avoid sunset photos, unless I can get an interesting foreground. They all sort of look the same, otherwise! This little graveyard near Mankato was just the thing. A fog began to roll in and, if the cemetery hadn't been on higher ground, I would have stuck around for some spooky "foggy tombstone" photos.

This corn field must have been planted a little later. Many fields have already been harvested, but this one has at least a couple weeks before it will be ready. The clash of vertical corn plants and horizontal clouds caught my eye.

I took a similar photo to this the last time we had fog, but this time I was better prepared! I found a spot that I could fully pull off the roadway and set up a tripod. There were a couple towers on the horizon with red blinking lights, which I edited out in Adobe Lightroom. The shot was a thirty-second exposue, which turned the clouds into smooth, dreamy blurs.
Tomorrow is the first day of my semester, starting with office hours at 8:00. It was nice to get out and take some landscape photos before the busy and stressful season gets under way.

How did you get into a cemetery? The photos looks cinematic though.
Thanks!
There are quite a few small cemeteries in the countryside around here. Some date back to before the US Civil War.
Eh? It could've been pretty freaky shooting there.
These little cemeteries are peaceful and beautiful in their way; silent, still. The strangely dressed child didn't show up in the photo.
Shut up!
In my opinion the 3rd one is the best of all ! The fog "gives" a mystery sense on it .
The long exposure time helps with that, too. The clouds and drifting fog become smooth.
Jejejej 😌
The photograph with the cemetery is particularly lovely @fotosdenada. Nice capture. 😊
Thanks. It was fun to get the right angle :-)
The photos look amazing! Nice share 😊
