Infrared and Ultraviolet after the blizzard

in #photography7 years ago

We got quite a bit of snow during a blizzard, I wanted to see snows properties in different light spectrums.

Above is around 720nm Infrared, I like how the snow pops out from the tree using this filter.

The three cypress trees and one magnolia were shot in the 403nm Ultraviolet spectrum, the snow has a different look to it. Hard to say exactly, but I think its thee.

Our stairs were covered with about eight inches by the end of the blizzard.

The snow rolled down the hand rail and curled, I have never seen that before. Infrared 850nm

My Taro and it seems to be getting alot of infrared light bouncing off the leaf. Plants reflect unused light back out and its picked up on infrared cameras. I think the snow is making it bright, making the plant have alot to reflect.

The Japanese Aralia is transparent in Ultraviolet 403nm.
