Last week, I had the chance to visit the Philippines for an amazing road trip to the northern part of Luzon island. The climate is at its best during December to February, at this time the rain is minimal and you can enjoy a sunny day (ave. 26°C) with the cool breeze that is refreshing.
On our visit, as soon as we touch-down a 6-hour road trip from Clark airport-to-Vigan, Ilocos Sur is the start of our itinerary.
This is the kind of road trip that I particularly enjoy, the road is straight without so much turns & curves. Along the way, I saw a lot of farmlands on side of the road with mountain ranges at the far view. It's nostalgic as It reminds me of the village life that I had when I was younger. It's a great escape from my busy city life.
The refreshing views of nature along our road trip already revitalize my stressed-out mind. It gets me relaxed and excited at the same time.
We arrived at the end of the rice harvest season and the farmers are getting ready for the summer crops, which are either corn or tobacco. As much as I wanted to pull-over and walk around the farm, we don't have much time to spare as it's getting late. We trying to reach early to our destination to avoid the night rush hour at the city area.
All photos shown were shot while inside the moving vehicle, it gives me the challenge to compose my views and to set a proper focusing on my camera. There are times that I missed a great opportunity since we are moving too fast & I didn't have time to grab my camera and take the shot.
You might have noticed on the photos that the objects nearest to my view are getting motion blur, I guess that's the effect when taking a picture while moving so fast at the same time.
Another interesting views along our road trip are the power line structures & the shallow rivers & creeks that we crossed over or passed through.
This 6-hour road trip is supposed to be tiring but actually it wasn't, it was full of fun & amazing scenery that kept me awake for almost the whole ride. Although there are parts of the trip that I felt bored, but that didn't stop me from enjoying most of it. I hope you enjoyed viewing the collections of photos of our journey leading to the Vigan city.
To give you a little teaser of my next post, Vigan city is one of the New 7 Wonders Cities of the world and it's unlike the modern cities that you might expect. So, stay tuned my Steemit friends!

Man that's some talent getting those while moving. Looks like a beautiful area. That photo with the tree looks as though it could have been wind moving the leaves and grass.
