Hummingbirds... Nature Photography

When we moved here 5 years ago, I remember seeing my first Hummingbird. To me that was an amazing experience. They are so small with their shiny wings flapping at 50 times a second. This morning two little ones were in my garden and I was able to take some photographs.

Humming birds always make me think of faeries the way they dart about the place, so sweet, here in brazil there are lots. Beautiful.

These are fantastic. Where were you when you took these shots?

Better ones coming up. Thanks.

Excellent, looking forward to them!

Great pictures and the video is a great touch. Amazing Creature... would be awesome to have a still photo off one in flight. Thanks for sharing

Thank you! I'm still hunting to photograph one in flight.

I'm new here on steemit but sharing this made my day. Thanks mate!

Great Post this looks like you really put some time into this post. Are you a really good writer or graphics designer? We see that you are Professional Photographer!

Thank you so much. I'm definitely not a good writer, can do a bit in Motion but that's it.

I love hummingbirds, we put a feeder out in our back yard and have a few a year that stop in. They are beautiful to see in person. These are great shots. Keep it up. Thank you.

Thanks! I'm thinking to put up a feeder. I'm also planting more and more plants that attract hummingbirds and butterflies.

It is really difficult to catch a moment to take such amazing photos...birds are so fast! Cool job. I will follow you to see more) good luck

I see them more and more now in my garden. And they are less and less shy. Thank you for your nice comment and I followed you back.

Beautiful photography! Wish I could see a hummingbird for myself but they don't have any here

beautiful and unique species

They are absolutely amazing. Thanks.

WOW, great captures! I know how hard it is to photograph hummingbirds. I have hundreds of bird videos, but I don't think I have one of a hummingbird. I followed you!

They don't fear me that much it seems. They are getting more and more comfortable in our garden. Thank you, followed you.

I like this bird so much. Never seen in India. His sound is very nice. i have stored in my nokia cellphone. But i dont know that is real sound of this bird or no.

At the end of the video when the hummingbird flies off, you hear a little tjirp. I'm pretty convinced that it is from the little bird. That tjirp alerts me when they are around.

Beautiful captures.

Thanks. More to follow.

I love these little creatures to! We just had an iridescent, emerald green one at our water feature. They enjoy peeking into our windows when they see anything red in the house.

I never have set up the nectar feeders, I heard that some of them can develop a bacteria that can harm them. Years ago I started planing perennial and non hybrid shrubs and flowers for them.

Wild Dagga from Africa seems to be their favorite in my garden. It blooms late so I have made sure to have flowers blooming for them all season. I loved your post and video, thank you!

Thank you for watching and your nice comment. Followed.

Well done! Great video too! 🐦

Fantastic photos and video. I was in the Costa Rican Cloud Forest last month and Humminbirds are everywhere. It was amazing to see so many in one place.

We don't have that many here. I'm already glad that they visit our garden from time to time. Must have been quiet something. Thank you.
