Hi Friends... Today I am here with these cool pics of some old trees. These look very old, the branches look neatly weaved into one another. There is some flower in light pink color. There are some 4 to 5 trees in a row. These trees give good shelter and are seen by the side of roads in some places of our small city of Mangalore.
I think the name of the tree is Deodar.
All these pics are from my smartphone Honor.
Birds love to eat the fruits of these trees. Nowadays because of the urbanization, we are slowly loosing the beauty of such types of old trees.
Hope you liked this post. With much love and regards, @geetharao...
We call this Raintree. The branches of this tree are very spacious.
Oh. I dint know that this tree is also called by the name **"Rain Tree **!!
the older a tree, the more stunning it looks. in those last few pics, it looks like a pretty web of branches :)
Beauty nature pics
Great.....
Trees are great. Gives shades and more and more.
As you rightly said, due to urbanisation, trees are cut and now we are seeing jungle of buildings 🏢 🏢 everywhere.
Hi dear! I like the natural beauty! And the green areas! Really don’t have better than nature!!

hello sister that Tree makes me feel relaxed ..your picture eased my stress away ..seems nice to write under that tree..
Are you sure these are called Deodars in your region?
Not that Deodar, I'm so fond of! I love those tall Deodar trees a lot; which are native to Himalayan region ...also called Himalayan Cedar. Typically they grow at a high altitude of between 5000 to 10000 feet. Over that height, you will find mostly pine (चीड) trees (yeah, there are other trees too like Rhododendron towards Dhanoulti or Bhoj-patra / birch tree around Gangoutri etc.) . But e.g. in Mussoorie (which is at 6000 feet) or a little higher at its peak (in Landour) you can see both Deodar as well as Pine trees.
Since you took the same name Deodar, I was immediately transported to Himalayas 😊 and was wondering how can one find a Deodar in Mangalore. But then photographs talks about some other Deodar, I really dunno. Thanks for pushing me back into some sweet memories!
