Aww you are quite a moth hero. I don't think I want to know insect's thoughts, because I would feel so incredibly sorry for them. Think of that disgusting housefly and how all she wants to do is find some human food to lay her eggs on. And those silly beetles that can't fly or walk worth a darn but are quite cute - you'd hear all their silly thoughts until their abrupt end.
I think I will stick with my vertebrate snobbery, and assume only we spiny-creatures have thoughts.

anyone would do that unless they're scared of bugs
as for the horsefly I would probably be able to splat one before they could do their nasty business on us if we could hear them but it would be such a yuck
so I think I'd go with you on not understanding them at all
